Egg Roll in a Bowl

20 minute dinner with a few short cuts to make it even easier!


Egg Roll in a Bowl

Serves: 3-4 people Time: Active: 20 mins

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound of F3 Ground Pork

  • 1 Tbsp Olive Oil

  • 1 medium head of cabbage, thinly sliced

  • 3 carrots, shredded

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce

  • 2 tsp sesame oil

  • 1 tsp ground ginger

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder, or 1 tsp fresh grated garlic

  • 1/2 tsp honey

  • salt and pepper to taste

  • 2-3 green onions, chopped

  • sesame seeds, optional garnish

Preparation:

1.In a large skillet, heat to medium high. Add oil. Brown ground pork for 5-6 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Remove from pan.

2.In the same pan, add a little more oil. Saute cabbage and carrot for about 5 minutes (it will continued to cook with sauce.

3.Add ground pork back to pan. Add remaining sauce ingredients (soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, honey) and cook for another 3-5 minutes, until cabbage is tender.

4. Serve garnished with green onions, sesames and/or sriracha.


Short cuts:

-Use bagged coleslaw mix (or broccoli slaw mix) to skip on the chopping.

-Use your favorite premade Asian sauce instead (of soy sauce, seasame oil, ginger, garlic, honey)
